Foaming cleansers have a reputation for stripping skin, and most of them earn it. This one is built on micellar technology instead of harsh surfactants — micelles bind to oil and debris and lift them away, rather than dissolving your barrier along with the day.
The other half of the formula is microbiome care. Prebiotic, probiotic and postbiotic ingredients work on the bacterial balance of the skin surface, which is increasingly understood as the difference between skin that copes and skin that reacts.
Who it suits
All skin types including sensitive. Particularly worth it if foaming cleansers have left your skin feeling tight in the past, or if your barrier has been compromised by over-exfoliating.
What is in it, and why
- Prebiotic (inulin) — fuel for the microorganisms that keep the skin microbiome balanced
- Micelles — mild surfactant clusters that trap and lift oil, dirt and debris
- Probiotic (Lactococcus ferment lysate) — supports the skin microbiota and helps replenish the moisture barrier
- Kombucha ferment (postbiotic) — fermented black tea, rich in postbiotics
- Jasmine flower — soothes and relieves the look of redness caused by dryness
How to use it
Dispense onto damp hands, massage over the face, then rinse. It goes on as a liquid and foams on contact with water. Use morning and evening; as a second cleanse in the evening it works well after an oil cleanser.
