An exfoliating toner, which means you can get gentle daily resurfacing without adding a separate step. The exfoliation comes from three angles — PHA, bromelain enzymes from pineapple, and tranexamic acid for tone — and all three are on the mild end.
PHA in particular is the largest-molecule acid family, so it works more on the surface and is markedly less irritating than glycolic.
Who it suits
All skin types, and mild enough for daily use. Good for dullness, rough texture and dark spots, and a sensible first exfoliating acid if stronger ones have caused stinging.
What is in it, and why
- Polyhydroxy acid (PHA) — gentle exfoliant that renews the feel of skin while targeting dryness and visible ageing
- Bromelain — pineapple-derived enzyme; removes dead cells with minimal irritation and supports the look of elasticity
- Tranexamic acid — brightens and helps reduce the visible appearance of dark spots
How to use it
Sweep over cleansed skin with a cotton pad, or press in with the palms. Can be used daily, morning or evening. Wear SPF — all exfoliating acids increase sun sensitivity.
